Plaque Unveiling 2013
Re-Enactments Over the Years
On the 3rd September 2013 one of our dreams was realised with the unveiling of one of Kenneth Potts' remarkable plaques on top of Fort Royal Hill. The plaque was unveiled by the society's Chief Patron, Lord Faulkner of Worcester and the ceremony was attended by over 350 dignitaries and individuals from across the country representing a number of different organisations from the House of Lords through to the Worcester City Council.
The Battle of Worcester Society is not a reenactment society but it has from time-to-time sponsored events such as reenactments for educational purposes. The society is thrilled to be able to work with reenactors at these events as it believes that Living History is an essential part of keeping our heritage alive.
BoWS Outing to Boscobel House
A Summary of 2014
2014 was an incredibly busy year for the society. We have added patrons to our ranks, conducted international visits, organised lectures, memorials, and social evenings and even played host to representatives of the US Embassy. We are a small yet very active society and the pictures below should give you an idea of what a vast array of activities the BoWS gets up to.
